Thanks to Tim Horton's sponsorship of "Wee Kickers" soccer programme, a lot of little kids got to go to BC Place and play soccer at the opening game against Hamilton.
We were VERY close to the roof, but it was still exciting. We watched the first quarter together.
I don't think that Ewan even understood where the ball was on the field, but he loved the cheering, and the fact that people got tackled. He also said that the cheerleaders were very pretty.

THEN! At 1/2 time, the Wee Kickers took over the faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar end of BC Place. I don't think that they could have been farther from the parents' seating if someone did the math and actually calculated the greatest distance.

Afterwards, they had a snack of TimBits and apple juice, were given some spongey footballs, and headed back to meet up with the parents (waiting anxiously for them upstairs).
Ewan chose to stay and watch another quarter of the game before we went to find our car (eventually) and head home. What a great opportunity!
Have fun trying to pick Ewan out of the crowd - hint - he has a blue shirt on with black shorts.
